Backyard before. Levelled the upper backyard area a little, trench dug for some decent soil along the fence line and added some edging

Edges filled with garden mix and top soil added and levelled across the remaining top section of the backyard. Garden mix - 4m3. Top soil - 5 tonne.

Instant grass. 110sqm of Sir Walter.

Now with some Viburnam down the side and Buxus down the back along the top of the retaining wall

I am starting to get sick of paving

It has been a busy few months in the yard. Between paving and working on retaining walls I don't get much time to relax on weekends.

Privacy screening

This weekend we worked on the rear alfresco to screen off our neigbours from both sides. The right hand side we added some decking to the top on the roof line to block thier balcony and also added them to the side gate to hide the rainwater tanks. The left side we added some trench pots with Marraya to block our their side window.

Landscaping

The backyard was a bit of a mess when we moved in so we decided to get stuck straight into it and start levelling the yard and build a retaining wall. No landscaper this time, just a wheel barrow a few tools and a couple of volunteers.
