External Plumbing Done

Looks like they have finished the external plumbing.
After the huge downpours over the weekend I found the block so muddy I was walking ankle deep in mud in some sections. May need to invest in some gum boots.




Looks like the sewer on the fence line and access points further down the back to the storwater trenchs on the image below. Here's hoping we can hide these under the turf when they are finished.

They've made a bit of a mess of the backyard.
It's going to be a tight squeeze to put a retaining wall next to the grate

External Plumbing

Not much happened last week thanks to the rain. The excavators did manage to take away another 3 loads of fill created from the piering/foundations for us.
This week they are back in action working on the external plumbing.

Piering Done

Went past the block today and to our suprise they had finished the piering. A few small cracks in some of the concrete but I hear that is normal. Pics below

Excavation Complete

After one week we are done. Took a little time (and added expense) to get the sandstone out. They needed to bring in some sort of rock saw to get a nice clean cut down the fence line. Finished product looks pretty nice.
We got a bit of a shock when we found out we were up for 23 truck loads of fill removal. Seems a little excessive.

Excavation starts

Just found out they have started excavation already!! Had a call from the supervisor not long ago saying they had hit sandstone(we knew that was coming) and asking whether I was happy with them to remove the sandstone and take the fill.
I wasn't expecting them to start the same day they assigned us a supervisor.

Construction Certificate approved and we have pegs

We received a new hydraulic plan a few weeks ago to fulfil council requirements. Basically we had had to add more trenches to hold more runoff. Not real happy about the extra 7k variation that was added to the contract but what can you do.
Thankfully no major issues getting the construction certificate approved which we found out about last week.
We went out to the block on the weekend and noticed they had done the pegout. Sorry no pictures. I wasn't expecting them in yet.
